Shabbos Safe Warming Tray

The Shabbos Safe Warming Tray now has a higher wattage to make sure your food reaches the desired temperature while still keeping with halachic requirements for warming food on Shabbos. We have also improved the internal integrity by upgrading several key components, including strengthening the internal wire connections.

Safety and Operating within Halacha

Shabbos Safe Warming Tray by Kosher Innovations™

The TechYidCo. Shabbos Safe Warming Tray’s patented design allows the end user a safe, dependable and durable way to keep their food warm on Shabbos and Yom Tov. It was designed by a Frum Electronic Engineering Technician with safety and Halachic compliance first in mind.

By placing the Stainless Steel Heating Element on the bottom panel of the chassis, causing all heat transfer to radiate upward through a blanket of air, the patented design mimics a traditional Jewish blech (covered fire).

This design allows your halachically permissible food to be warmed, but makes Halachic Bishul (cooking) difficult to attain. Food takes slightly longer to heat up, but does so in a Halachically kosher and safe way.

The Warming Tray is ETL Safety Certified and designed with over 4 individual safety features. TechYidCo. and Kosher Innovations are dedicated to providing Halachically certified and safe appliances so that you and your family can truly rest on Shabbos.

“The Shabbos Safe Warming Tray does not require a blech. The Shabbos Safe unit only has one setting and there is no method for changing the temperature. Additionally, the heating element is mounted by metal framework to the bottom housing. There is a one inch gap of internal airspace between the heating element and the surface of the hotplate. Thus, the surface acts as the blech.”

Since the surface of the Shabbos Safe Warming Tray is made of stainless steel, it is kashurable.

High Density Foods

Foods that take longer to heat due to their high density such as kugels, thick sauces or soups should be placed in thin aluminum pans directly on the surface of the Hot Plate. This will allow the heat to transfer more quickly through the highly conductive aluminum material of the pan. Using glass or ceramic pots or pans may prevent these types of foods from heating quickly or thoroughly.

Low Density Foods

Some foods may have a tendency to burn easily such as vegetables, chicken or foods with higher fat content. It is recommended to place a pan between the surface of the Hot Plate and the container holding these types of lower density foods. The pan will act like a buffer so the food will remain warm without burning or drying out.

The top surface of your Shabbos Safe Hotplate can be Kashered for Pesach but please consult your local Rabbi or Hallachic Authority. The unit needs to be clean, free of all food debris, stickers and or stains. If the unit is completely clean, then the stainless steel top surface can koshered by using an open flame. The top surface only needs to reach a temperature hotter than the normal operating temperature of the hotplate. Please be careful only to heat the top surface, avoid heating plastic parts directly with flame.

TechYidCo./Kosher Innovations is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of the flame. TechYidCo./Kosher Innovations is not a Halachic authority, and kashering your Shabbos Safe Hotplate should only be done by a competent Rabbi or Halachic Authority.
